BreaCan is a women-centred, holistic service which recognises that every woman's cancer experience is different and each will prefer to access and use BreaCan's services in her own way.
BreaCan provides:
Face-to-face information and support on a drop-in basis; no appointments are necessary. Women, friends and family can simply visit the Resource Centre and talk about their experience confidentially to staff and trained volunteers.
Telephone support and information via the 1300 781 500 number. People can also email us.
An extensive library of over 300 cataloged items including books, CDs and DVDs.
A selection of free pamphlets and journal articles.
A diverse range of free information sessions and group programs, including a fortnightly Feel Good Gentle Exercise Program.
Free reflexology sessions.
A display cabinet containing a wide variety of breast forms (prostheses), bras and accessories.
Specialised information and support for women living with advanced cancer.
One off projects and initiatives including regional information forums, creative therapy workshops and bus trips to the resource centre for women from rural and regional Victoria.
Referral to local support and community organisations.
