The Library
The BreaCan Library housed at the Resource Centre has over 300 specially selected items. It includes books, pamphlets, journal articles, DVDs and CDs on cancer, health and well being. Women and their families are welcome to browse or borrow from the collection. Items from the collection can be posted to women and if necessary are provided with a return postage paid envelope. This service is especially important for women who may be unable to visit the centre due to distance or ill health.
Women come with a broad range of questions and may need information about treatment options, the availability of other services, adjustment issues, the impact of cancer on relationships and general well being, including nutrition and exercise.
A series of BreaCan recommended resources for particular issues are available here for download.
