The BreaCan Resource Centre offers women a safe place to access information, particpate in programs and share their stories with other women.

Many woman acknowledge the importance of the service being located away from the hospital environment. BreaCan works hard to create a relaxed and welcoming environment. The centre is staffed by our dedicated team of trained volunteers who work alongside a small staff team. While BreaCan continues to develop a program of scheduled events and activities, the service believes it is imperative that women and their families can still drop in whenever they like at any stage of their cancer journey. The Resource Centre is a central place where women can connect with other women who are living well, to normalise their feelings and anxieties and discuss ways to adjust to living with cancer.

The BreaCan environment creates a safe place, a warm haven, somewhat like a cosy nest… it confirmed for me not only do we need good souls to help us through this cancer journey, but a unique environment as well.
